"Summer is the best time of year." -Thomas Jefferson
As we get ready for summer, I remember seeing that every person was trying to find ways to incorporate lemon into their diet. What made me curious is; Do lemon water and juice affect my mood? Did you know that lemon juice can help us with skin problems like acne, rosacea? Yes, I did! So, that's one reason I decided to put out a post: You will notice once you read this that there is more than just lemon water. Many people need to incorporate other citrus fruits or vegetables into their diets to make sure that they do not go without any nutrients from these foods and I feel as though people should incorporate all of them. They also add flavor to their fruits because of their acidity when added to fruit juices. Some fruits can cause drowsiness but others can give you plenty of energy or even an energy boost after your workout.
Lemon Juice And Summer Weight Loss
In addition to its many functions, lemon juice has been used by athletes to aid in weight loss because lemon will speed up metabolism and detoxify your body. It also helps relieve stress, reduce depression, and helps burn fat. Not only does lemon juice help reduce sugar cravings, but it also decreases stomach acidity, which makes digestion easier and less painful.
For example, according to research by Loma Linda University, women who consumed either one-half teaspoon of lemon juice daily before meals or several tablespoons before meals had a lower incidence of Type 2 diabetes than those who did not take lemon juice. Therefore, I am convinced that lemon juice is very good for everyone no matter what is going on in your life.
Here’s another thing I love about lemon. For instance, lemon is very acidic, so when combined with tomatoes, it can spoil a dish. However, it also makes this food quite tasty. If you can eat a healthy diet while incorporating lemon into your diet, you won't be eating too much at dinner. This simply means lemon is going to be able to cleanse your digestive system faster than anything else on earth and as result, your gut will truly have nothing else to worry about.
Couples Who Are Struggling To Be Together
Lemons are known for being extremely rich in tannins. When a peel of a lemon is cut open, the flesh within contains oils, but also fibers which make the peel feel tight (and thus making it hard to peel off). As a result, couples who are struggling to be together will often be holding onto each other throughout the process of divorce. In an article written by USA Today, writer Amanda Brown mentions how sometimes couples will always fight over the things that they don't like about one another, so if they wanted to be together, maybe some of the tension could be removed. A few extra lemons will allow them to avoid all of that and also do not worry about the constant fighting.
Lemon Water Makes Your Skin Fit And Healthy
Lemons contain Vitamin C which contains a lot of nutrients and vitamins that will keep your skin healthy and help you maintain that beautiful glow. According to a 2016 study published in JAMA Dermatology, Vitamin C can prevent premature wrinkles and signs of aging such as sun damage and fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps in treating acne and helps with improving circulation in your body. But, the most important benefit for the skin comes from the fact that the nutrients contained in Vitamin C will fight acne and break down the harmful toxins in your body. Lemons also contain niacin which can help in reducing stretch marks and tanning beds. Niacin also aids in regulating blood flow to the face and it may reduce inflammation in the brain which can reduce memory and also sleep disturbances.
Lemon Juice May Help Lower Cholesterol Levels
It is common knowledge that having high cholesterol levels causes heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure which can lead to serious complications in young children. While research shows that high cholesterol levels are directly linked to your risk for heart disease, studies also show that increasing amounts of fiber in your diet may help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol. Studies show that adding one small serving of lemon juice to yogurt drinks helps decrease your consumption of total fat which can, in turn, decrease your intake of fats. The fiber in the yogurt leads to softer stool which will prevent constipation, so your body doesn't have to strain as well as it already is.
Lemon Juice Can Work As Medicine For Diabetes
Studies have also shown that diabetic patients who consume more water and consume high amounts of vegetables, fiber, whole grains, and lean proteins may lower their insulin resistance. Lemons contain alpha-lipoxygenase enzymes which are responsible for converting carbohydrates into insulin and they can help with decreasing your carbohydrate level. Lemons contain pectin which helps to soften stool, which is then softer stool. If you do not like stool, then you are not going to enjoy your bowel movements when you have diarrhea. But, that's okay because you will still be able to poop in your toilet which is a sign that you have a healthy appetite. Overall, this is great news for people who suffer from diabetes and those who are suffering from heart diseases.
Lemon juice is the key to living a healthier lifestyle, and I hope that you enjoy learning more information about citrus fruits, specifically lemon juice. At the end of the day, lemon water has been found beneficial to weight loss. You can also add lemon water to your fruit/vegetable smoothies to spice up your tastebuds and even add a splash of cold water to your morning coffee when you sip on a glass of plain water and honey.
